Green City Growers Cooperative: The third Evergreen company is open for business!

On Monday, February 25th, the third Evergreen Cooperatives business, Green City Growers Cooperative, officially opened its doors.  On hand to celebrate the first crop of living lettuce from the 3.25 acre greenhouse with the 25 workers in line to become owners of the cooperative were Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and US Senator Sherrod Brown, as well as representatives from the Cleveland Foundation, area anchor institutions, and other partners who helped make the greenhouse a reality.  Below, you’ll find video from the grand opening event, and a round up of press coverage.
